The Boys {an update}

I realized recently that while I share a lot of pictures of the boys on Instagram and during my Project 365 weekly post (which is slightly behind) I haven't really shared what they've been up to.

I can't believe how busy two little boys can keep you!

Joseph is now 3 and 1/2 years old and he definitely is a precocious little monster. He's definitely flourishing in his preschool and it's making me slightly reluctant to pull him from daycare during the summer, but I'll try to keep up with him. He's able to print his name, can count to 100 (with a little help) and is starting to read. He also never, ever stops talking. He's started vocalizing his imaginative play a little more so it's really funny to hear the conversations his trains or cars have with one another.

He loves being active. This past weekend, he started his soccer season. It's most just lessons since there are only 5 kids. He absolutely loves it and is quite good at it. He's also in Preschool B in his swimming lessons and is doing really well but he won't put his face into the water! Once this round of lessons are finished, we'll just start swimming at my parents and then start lessons again the winter. I'm thinking of starting him in martial arts in the Fall though. He's also learned how to ride his bike with training wheels.

His eczema has gotten a whole lot better since the weather has changed. I'm expecting that we might get some flare-ups as the weather gets warmer, but hopefully a salt-water pool and lots of cream will help keep the patches away. We're currently dealing with cradle cap which is starting to cause a bald spot in his hair. Luckily, it's long enough that it's hidden.

I can't wait to see what he grows up to do. He's so smart yet so funny that he could go in almost any direction.

Andrew is still my little baby. He's 19 months (what?) and is definitely a clumsy little boy. We keep joking that we're going to put him in a helmet and face mask so that he stops bumping himself on everything. He loves snuggling, singing 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat' and running around naked. He is one funny little kid!

He is still reluctant to talk. He has about 20 words tops and there are some times where he chooses not to talk at all (especially if there are other people around). Sometimes, this is fantastic because Joseph definitely makes up for the lack of noise coming from Andrew. We're working on it, but he's just content doing what he's doing. He's really good at playing by himself and he loves being outside. He could play at the park or in the backyard for the entire day.

He definitely looks up to and emulates his big brother. They've started to actually play together without fighting (except for wrestling). We've started to hear a lot of laughing and giggling as opposed to crying and stealing and fighting. It's nice to watch them, but I still need to play referee every once in awhile to make sure no one gets hurt.

I might be crazy, but I'm starting to play his second birthday already. He still loves Cars so we're going with a Cars/Lightning McQueen party. I'm hoping it hangs around until then though.

That's where my munchkins are now! I can't believe how fast time goes! Before I know it they'll be off to University!
