I'm on a diet...



Ok, it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change.

It doesn't just involve food however. I'm on a financial diet as well.

I've decided that things have just gotten out of control and that a lot of my 'little' purchases need to stop because they add up to a lot!


However, in the end it's completely helping my diet.

I've stopped eating out for lunch as well as eating out on the weekends. We'll still go out for dinner every once in awhile with the boys (or on a date night) because I think it's a nice treat for everyone, but the little trips to Subway or McDonalds for lunch or dinner have stopped. I've also stopped buying pop at lunch. Looking at it $1.25 doesn't seem like a lot, but it adds up.


That being said, my diet is a whole lot better. The food we're making at home is much healthier than what we'd eat if we ate out (yes, even Subway) and I'm hoping that it will help with the numbers on the scale and my hope to drop some more weight. I'd like to get down into the 140s at some point!

Along with everything, I've decided to start shopping at a different grocery store and doing some meal planning based on flyers and sales. I am still going to buy my produce at a different grocery store. It's definitely going to be a pain in the butt to do that much work for food, but if it's going to help with saving some money than I'm going to do it!
