I love how the boys monthly updates fall close together!
A - 1 month
I can't believe a full month has come and gone already!
That said, being 1 month old, A still doesn't do too much. He's awake more often during the day (*sarcastic* yay!) which makes life a little more difficult as J is often right there too and when they both start to cry...someone save me!
He's still eating every 2.5 - 3 hours (even at night, although we did have a 5-hour stretch) however, he's a really good sleeper at night. He'll wake-up (flail around) to eat and then pretty much go right back down after he's done.
We've started to see signs of smiles here and there but he's a pretty content little guy. He has a fussy period first thing in the morning and later in the evening, but it's typically after J has gone to bed so we can focus our attention on him.
I did take a monthly picture, I just haven't had a chance to upload it yet!
J - 22 months
Honestly, this kid is nuts.
He has so much energy that some days we don't really know what to do with him
I know I say this all the time, but I'm really in awe of everything he knows.
At this point in time he:
- can count to 10 and relate the counting to objects
- sings the alphabet (and other songs)
- can identify majority of capital letters (and a couple lowercase letters)
- can identify some of the colours
I think that's the downside to having a teacher as a parent. I make him count everything, point out letters and colours and probably drive him nuts. But it's going well!
His fine and gross motor skills are coming along, although I keep telling him I'm going to put a helmet on him because he bumps his head over and over. Oh, and jumping is just scary!!!
In terms of the two of them getting along, he still loves his little brother but also loves to torture him. I keep reading all these stories of siblings that put pacifiers in the baby's mouth, J pulls them out and then laughs. Of course, A wakes right up or starts to cry. Lovely!
