Every other night (unless we have a diaper rash or a messy dinner) J takes a bath. His baths are usually fairly long because he loves playing in the water.
After the bath, it's pjs and teeth brushing.
This picture doesn't really match the next step, but J usually snuggles with Daddy and has his last bottle of the day. This is actually the only bottle he gets, everything else is sippy cups. We're hoping to adjust this part of the routine before Baby #2 comes.
Once the bottle is done, J will either start fussing or point to the crib which tells us he's ready to go down. He cuddles with his blankie, sticks his bum up in the air and proceeds to sleep through the night (most nights)!
He's typically in bed around 7:30, but it depends on what's going on that night and how long his nap was at daycare. This has been the routine for probably 6 or 7 months now and it's working great. We're hoping to add reading time in there to replace the bottle sometimes soon, but we'll have to see how things go. I'm sure the new baby will throw a wrench into the system, but we'll figure it out quicky!
