I feel that since this is my blog, I get free reign to brag.
Yesterday when I went to pick J up from daycare, I was informed that he'll be making the jump from the infant room to the junior toddler room. Most kids don't move until 16 or 17 months, but J isn't even 15 months yet. According to the teachers, he's developing really well, minus his speech, which we're hoping will improve after he moves to the bigger kid room.
In the junior toddle room, they'll have circle time and sing the national anthem in English and French everyday. The day is more structured, they are responsible to for eating by themselves (with a little assistance) while sitting in a seat (not a highchair) and they sleep on cots instead of in a crib.
Last night, while we were playing, my Mom and I watched as he successfully put pieces into a puzzle by himself. He amazes me everyday with the things he can do at (almost) 15 months.
Here is my new dilemma. I want to give his old teachers a present. I want it to be something cute and homemade (I want to get crafty)! I figure they helped make the transition from SAHM to working mom easier because I knew J was going to be in good hands. He runs in to the room in the morning and then doesn't want to leave.
What do you think the teachers would prefer? I was thinking of putting some candy in the pot instead of a flower and they could use it as a flower pot eventually.
